The Sandlot Lunch raises money for inner city youth baseball and softball programs in Indianapolis.
All proceeds from the Sandlot Lunch benefits Play Ball Indiana’s RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) program.
Our mission is to build good character, foster responsible behavior, encourage the development of baseball and softball skills, promote the enjoyment of healthy competition and teamwork, and to build the values of honesty, fairness, integrity, inclusion and commitment to excellence. This mission is accomplished primarily through the RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) Indianapolis program.
Since his baseball retirement in 1986, George instructs at baseball camps and clinics for boys and girls from age 7 to the Minor League baseball level. He was the roving Minor League hitting instructor for the Cincinnati Reds from 1997-1998. Currently, George attends corporate functions, adult fantasy baseball camps, and golf tournaments. He also hosts youth baseball clinics in Ohio, Florida and California.
The Citizens Field of Dreams is just that….a dream of thousands of inner city youth, coaches, teachers and mentors….a superb inner city youth baseball, softball and sports facility….for the neediest youth….in a disadvantaged neighborhood. Citizens Energy Group has
